Like many growing up, my favorite Transformer robot was not Optimus Prime or Bumblebee, but the super cool Transformers Constructicon Devastator. Something about having five or six separate robots that could combine to create a super robot was always captivating to me.

I remember helping save up my money to help build this mammoth piece by piece. It was a great little hobby as each piece helped encourage me to get the final one. Then, finally getting the completed mega robot put together was a great culmination. I was so proud of it I had it displayed on my dresser much to the envy of my younger brothers.
I didn’t care it was a great toy and loved spending hours playing with it.

Now, a whole new generation is getting to experience transformers again. The second Transformers movie has made the Transformers Constructicon Devastator as big hit once again. You can bet many kids eagerly want this as a toy for this holiday season or as a birthday present. One toy that I have been impressed with is the Transformers Constructicon 5 pack. It offers one less robot compared to what us old guys are used to but believe me the younger kids could care less. It is a nicely put together toy in its own right that I must say I wish was available when I was a kid. As much fun as it was to build my super robot piece by piece, a completed set makes a whole lot more sense. Too much risk of losing a piece or breaking a piece along the way. With the new 5 pack offering, you no longer have to worry about that issue.

The second Transformers movie has ensured many kids will be hoping for this toy just as I did years ago. It is great as parent to be able to help share in these types of generational exchanges.
